Donnie & The Dry Heavers

Coming to fruition in the early months of 2018, Donnie & the Dry Heavers have worked hard to bring a fresh take to the musical styling of the Indie-Rock/Jam Band genres. Hailing from Kingsport, TN, this 4-piece group includes: Chance Lawson (vocals/guitar), Andrew Kramer (vocals/guitar), Cameron Hite (vocals/drums), and Magus Vaughn (vocals/bass). Together, they continue to deliver memorable performances to audiences young and old, holding the music above all else in their travels.
Through all of their struggles, hopes, and accomplishments, one question rings loud in many minds: Where is Donnie?

The Kindest People

The Kindest People are a four-piece indie/garage rock band from the mountains of Johnson City, Tennessee. Formed in July 2015 by Matthew Sykes and Spencer Otey for a one-off weekend of shows, The Kindest People were never supposed to continue. Seven years, five albums, and two EPs later, the band continues to pump out their own unique brand of DIY rock and roll.

Walking a line of modern pop sensibilities with a reverence for 60’s garage rock and 90’s alternative, The Kindest People have created a sprawling catalog of albums and content over the last seven years. With their most recent release, 2021’s eponymous The Kindest People finds the band ditching concepts for a more reflective and personal songwriting style and shows a band with a continued willingness to change and grow with each new release.

Whether you’re listening to one of the bands many records or taking in one of their rowdy live shows, you’ll be sure to have a good time when you’re with The Kindest People.

Florencia & The Feeling

Florencia Rusiñol is a Latin American singer-songwriter from East Tennessee. Her musical style is influenced by her Argentinian roots and her jazz-singing background, and is combined with her love of pop and funk music. Florencia’s first EP is available on all music streaming platforms. Florencia & the Feeling have spent 2021 touring the Southeast.

The Feeling is the name given to the group of incredibly talented musicians assembled to play with Florencia. The name refers to the captivating & carefree energy that flows from the stage at each and every concert.

The Dimestore Cowboys

The Dimestore Cowboys are a 6-piece Appalachian rock Alt/country band from Johnson City, TN. The band formed in 2012 from a collection of musicians who met playing in different bands in the area. Their unique brand of entertainment fuses powerful Appalachian vocals with hard driving instruments. Rock, folk and traditional country sound with attitude.

Big Son

Big Son is a fresh take on old Soul, with a smidge of southern accents thrown in for good measure.

Comprised of five guys with decades of experience on stages throughout the South, the band takes pride in crafting songs and shows that leave the audience wanting more. To handle a mix of genres, from New Orleans soul to songs about love and loss, songwriter and singer Jared Bentley has surrounded himself with the right mixture of musicianship. A solid rhythm section (Mike Sams and Kevin Light) sets the canvas and the painters (Jerry Henninger and Cepheus Strachan) lay their color down.

If you’ve ever heard the phrase “mountain soul” and wondered what it meant, this is the answer.

Daniel Byrd’s Boogie Machine

Daniel Byrd has been playing Groovy Blues & Electric Soul all over the region, wasting no time in becoming one of the most sought-after acts from Johnson City, TN. He keeps it tight and pays homage to his roots, while also exploring sounds across several genres and spectrums. He’s one you don’t want to miss.

Pixel Vision

Pixel Vision is the indietronica collaboration between drummer/vocalist Amanda Hollifield (Andrew Scotchie & The River Rats) and multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer Joshua Cavinder (Deja Fuze).

The on- and off-stage partners relocated from Asheville, N.C., to Johnson City, Tenn. (Amanda’s hometown), in March of 2020. Covid shutdowns gave them a chance to woodshed and hone their project, which features Josh’s original music.

The mostly instrumental band produces a sound much larger than the sum of its parts. The two musicians take on enough gear and instruments for a full band and early shows have been well-received. They’re in the process of recording new music, which will be released as a series of singles. Reach out for more information or with booking inquires.
